Both Lindholm and Gaudreau are PPG and have a combined +1. They aren't the problem. The problem is simply that the team didn't contain McDavid and hasn't capitalized on chance collectively.
It's only been 2 games, but if Monahan, Mangiapane, Tkachuk, etc.. can find a way to increase their own scoring rate from 0-.5PPG to career averages, the Flames will win games.
Sutter's game plan seems based around depth, with Gaudreau in the high scoring chances. It's a good plan.
