He said ideally Backlund is your 3rd line center on the fan...he has said it in the past too even when he was a TV analyst.
If Monahan can't get up to speed that might be an issue but I think Dube gets a shot with Mangi and to me that is the 2nd line. Backlunds line is the shut down line and I consider that a 3rd line due to the role.
Pitlick is an upgrade over Lucic there though
