Funny, I think the same about yourself. The team doesn't have a defined 2nd line or 3rd line. It has Mangiapane and then Backlund and Coleman, and then Dube, and then Monahan and Lucic. These six players make up our middle six. They're going to be sorted out based on role. Backlund's line is not expected to produce fewer goals than Dube's line, and yet they're expected to do more heavy lifting. Lucic is more capable of difficult minutes than Monahan and Dube, so the other two were put with Mangiapane, our best goalscorer to play softer minutes. It didn't work, so Sutter mixed it up. Monahan isn't suddenly our 4th line center either.
