I think all they can do is waive him and then tell him not to report. Doubt that they can terminate the contract (without his agreement) at this point. They can then buy him out at the next opening. I have nothing to back this up. |
They have reasonable cause to terminate his contract and refuse to pay him anything. Faking a vaccine record is a safety issue, and I highly doubt there's an arbitrator or employment judge that would rule in his favour. He would have been far better off just refusing to get vaccinated and letting the NHLPA fight for him.
