Pretty much. It's a 100% non-binding waste of taxpayer money to vote on this. Senators are appointed by the Prime Minister. Alberta is the only province to have phony elections for senators, and in theory the Prime Minister
could choose to appoint whichever senate candidate(s) are selected in this BS election, but a Liberal PM is never going to appoint a conservative senator, and a Conservative PM would never appoint someone like Jett Thunders even if he does win this "election".
