I think prior to this referendum, everyone at first blush probably would have been in favor of permanent summer (woo evening sun!), but I do think it has been beneficial in educating everyone on the true situation of Calgary's longitude and impacts. If a national move (with US) ever arises to abolish DST, I could see Calgary actually moving to PST now that everyone is better educated.
