My crazy theory: we heard rumours Pittsburgh was interested in Lucic this past summer. Perhaps that was related to Lucic being part of the return in an Eichel deal and Buffalo was flipping Looch to PIT. I don’t quite know how the Flames pull this off without Monahan and Looch being involved.
