We finally have decent forward depth, with an actual first and second line - and a third line that's really a "2-B" second line. I guess the main point is in addition to giving up some pretty pricey futures in Coranato and picks, we'd be also giving up three significant roster pieces. That means we're adding two holes to our lineup to upgrade one position.
Like, very few trades exist in a vacuum -- and this one could potentially do more harm than good. You have to look at the whole lineup.

I was going to ask if the first lineup better enough than the second lineup to justify the move, but after typing out both lineups, I'm not even sure the first lineup is better than the second one at all.
So, I dunno. I mean, how much of this is people just wanting to get Eichel without even caring what the outcome is?

That would be tough. I think Dube is about to pop. They'd have to give us a couple of serviceable vets. That defense is trash.
