I think in a realistic ideal world the Flames spend Monahan+futures for Eichel and they also secure a Gaudreau extension. They are able to have a run this year with Gaudreau-Eichel-Tkachuk and then next offseason Tkachuk’s RFA rights are traded to a team he is willing to sign long term. They can recoup some of the lost futures from the Eichel trade
