I don’t know, but at this point there is a strong feel that Tkachuk and Gaudreau will both atleast test free agency, so I think getting a signed Eichel would help make up for the loss of one or both of them.
However; Eichel is another US born player who happens to be an elite 1C.
I know he is also very tight with Hanafin. This would hopefully entice those other two to re-sign and possibly even take a little bit less than they could potentially fetch on the open market.
