How a deal couldn’t have been done prior to expansion draft after it was abundantly clear that Seattle wouldn’t budge off their asking price to not select Gio is beyond me. Letting the captain go for nothing, especially when there was a team interested, apparently with a protection slot available, is beyond comprehension. |
Hyperbole much? Gio is 38. Yes he is a physical specimen, but age will catch up and it's likely going to be this year.
Why make deals to protect a player who is likely about to hit a very steep decline?
