It's just funny now to see all the Sox fans come to the defense of the rule book and that it was the "right call". Like they're sticklers for the code. You know, after their team got caught cheating a couple years ago and no one talks about it. The Rays got jobbed by an outfielder making a poor attempt at the ball and they lost the game because of it.

Whats the difference between the ball interfering with a fan or bouncing off the ground into the stands on a regular ground rule double and this? There was no intent from the player to deflect it out... Adding it to the countless runs called back because of a GRD. They lost the game because of it? They had another at bat. They struck out. Even if the run had stood they would've lost anyway assuming the rest of the game played out the same way.
No one ever talks about it because no one gives a #### about sign stealing in the regular season.
