Listed some valid points as to why he might consider a trade to Buffalo and you’re welcome to speak to them as opposed to just stating an already spoken assumption. Yes we know Monahan has a list and there a good chance Buffalo is on it as a no go but they’ve been waived before. It’s not a ground breaking thought to consider Monahan could consider waiving to Buffalo and see it as a better opportunity to grow his stock ahead of his contract year. He’s lost the #1 Center spot here but would undoubtedly have it back there. It’s close to home which is attractive on a personal level. He most likely plays himself into a position of going to a contender for a shot at a cup ahead of his UFA year as well. Lots for Monahan to consider when looking at Buffalo as a destination and I don’t think it’s as simple as your indirect tongue in cheek response to the notion of a Monahan package deal for Eichel.
