Lots of times, you can point to a one player that should have been the clear pick over who was selected.
Ie Brodeur over Kidd.
There are five players who for sure are better selections than Jankowski just between 14-21.
Tom Wilson
Vasi
Teravainen
Hertl
Laughton
Then between 22-30, Maatta and Tanner Pearson would’ve been better picks.
Seven viable NHLers were available (who collectively have 8 rings between them).
It’s not garden variety incompetence, that’s a Jay Feaster/John Weisbrod platinum special.
