The Flames were without their leading scorer, their #1/2 centre, and their starting goalie sat on the bench for the entire game. I don't think this was their best lineup, and again, it is difficult to draw conclusions about team-play from a preseason game. I think what happened last night was that MTS Centre is already a difficult building to play in, and Winnipeg has a tendency to pile up a lot of shots and zone-time early. This was probably compounded by the fact that several Flames players are still not playing at game-speed with over a week left before their season starts.
