He only "runs" the goalie because Tanev clips his feet and he falls into him. He easily skates by if that doesn't happen. Right to defend or not, the blame for running the goalie falls 100% on Tanev.
Funnily enough Rhett mentioned on the radio this morning that a similar play happaned that he knocked a guy into turek(?) and got turek hurt which lead to the trade for kipper.
