I’ve watched almost all the Panthers game since Bennett was acquired. If you think Bennett’s success is entirely because of Huberdeau…well, you’re wrong. Also, yes - you generally need to play with other good players to have success. How not to have success? Saddle your players with sub-NHL players like Troy Brouwer, James Neal, and Mark Jankowski.
Bennett’s a good player, and the reason he didn’t flourish here was because our last 3 head coaches were morons who will never be head coaches in this league again, and because our GM insisted on paying 4M+ on non-NHL talent to fill out his roster.
