I don't know how LTIR works in the NHL or the insurance for players that can't play but is there any chance he won't get his salary?
One thing that came up in the States where they rely a lot more on private insurers was policies being changed to not cover healthcare costs for people who weren't vaccinated and got Covid.
Insurance companies are all about risk mitigation which is why smokers and diabetics, etc. have higher rates and I think some people may not qualify at all ("I have Stage Four terminal cancer - can I buy a million dollar policy so my family benefits when I die in six months?")
Could something similar happen to Archibald? (I assume the policy/insurance would've had to change previously to him getting Covid of course.)
