I got married in Vegas in 2001.
Here's what I suggest:
Don't stay on the strip (unless you have lots of money). Do some research and get yourself a hotel/motel off the strip, you'll easily save about $50-$75 a night.
Get yourself a rental car so you can escape and see some other sights. Get out and see some stuff other than the strip.
The actual marriage license is (was) $55. It shouldn't be much more now.
Marriage itself was ~$300.
At the chapels, IGNORE the tip envelopes...do not fall for the "Well, the expected gratuity is $75". We paid jack squat.
Limousine costs are usually included in the price of the marriage. Don't pay extra.
Everything, all inclusive for us was ~$1500.00, but that includes 3 unexpected extra days because we got married on September 10, 2001...If you're confused, do the math.
Despite the 9/11 thing, we had a blast and would highly recommend it to anyone.
Yes...I'm cheap.
