I told Bingo this - I see two Gios.
One playing with a partner he can trust (Sarich, Tanev, Brodie) that is a beast. The other being a veteran focused too much on doing his job plus covering up his Junior pairing mate (Andersson). Drastically different, I don’t think I could accept a disagreement there.
His ceiling is high but relies on having a competent partner so he can elevate his game
Let’s see how Gio does if he is paired with a guy like Larsson.
Seems like a problem the Flames have had over recent years - icing combinations up front and on D they think should work but don’t. Hopefully Sutter picks up on this stuff more quickly. We will see
