I don't think many bubble players helped themselves tonight. Certainly not enough to dislodge UFA vets that were brought in late in the summer.

I think it's not entirely fair to lump Pelletier in with Phillips or Philp being much younger than them.
Pelletier was not ineffective because he was out of the play, or making back choices. It was largely because he is not strong enough yet to win the battles he was regularly in on.
I think it's A year too early, but Pelletier will be an NHLer before too long. Just not this year.
