Sure, except Rasmus was rfa so no worries of him leaving and Backlund is nowhere near the star Gaudreau is and wouldn't cripple the team if he left for peanuts. I'd bet management knew that Backlund wanted to stay here as well. Unknown on Johnny's thoughts. Kinda apples to oranges.
