NFL breaks in lots of new coaches. They recycle head coaches way less than the NHL. There are a few lifetime coordinators but I would say guys like Jeff Fisher are outliers and really bad managers like Matt Millen are out of the league where the belong.

Well the CFL is a nine team league so you can understand the recycling as the pool is a lot smaller with most American coaches not in tune with 3-down football making it harder to find new coaches or managers.
