This makes no sense.
They were in easy FG range (47 yards), and could take the clock to zero and win the game. The Ravens could not stop the clock with 30 seconds left.
They had already killed the game.
All they had to do was NOT fumble a run directly into the line and try and pick up a few yards play
So many more things can go wrong on a pass.
Maybe you can argue they should have knelt the ball and kicked the FG, but they were far enough out that a few extra yards looked nice.
Imagine throwing twice and missing, or getting a sack. Reid would have been called the biggest idiot in football.
The Chiefs had the game won. Their RB just did the inexcusable and fumbled.
