For sure. And I would say that this organization has been guilty of hanging on to some players too long. But I think in the case of Tkachuk and Monahan I think Tkachuk you can be confident will be rebound. The contract situation looms though. Monahan is the wild card, but one hopes the hip issue was a big factor in his performance last year. I don't think he gets back to his peak, but if he can get back to being a 30 goal man, that has value.
Johnny I would have traded a couple years ago to maximize the return, but that's not a view shared by many.
