If this is becoming a growing obstacle for Canadian teams, perhaps it should be addressed in the next CBA? Short of banning NMC, and NTC, could they assign a monetary value to be added to AAV for different kinds of clauses? If a player waives the clause, then bump the salary by this amount as well.
