This is mostly true but they are somehow worse. The Aussie Magpies make this horrendous noise that sounds like a cat in heat in a burlap sack drowning. The first time I heard it (at 5am outside my bedroom window) I thought a colicky baby was choking on the worlds most annoying squeaky dog toy.
