Somebody is going to take those roster spots so all the around league min signings are irrelevant because they are basically a wash.
Stone in Mackey in the AHL for example (actually saves the Flames cap) EG has an extra 1M or so that is not make or break for Eichel come on now.
If anything the Flames needed more players to bring Eichel in because its likely 2+ are going out if it happens...you need to ice a team
