I assure you that Gudbranson will make more mistakes than any rookie given the same opportunity.
That's why it's a fallacy for coaches to give veterans a longer leash. Yeah, the rookie might make some mistakes, but overall he might be a good player. You already know the veteran is a bad player.
That's why adding analytics to remove some of these biases is a good thing.
