I agree with the facts as you've laid them out but I disagree with your take on it. The core is flawed and not good enough to build around. We don't have any blue chip prospects. They could waive him if they need to...
But what kind of an insurance policy is a below replacement level d man that makes too much money? You can get better players on waivers or PTOs no problem. You say no risk but what is the reward here?
