Almost no pointless dialogue or humor thrown in just for the sake of it. Just lean and well executed. In a similar vein as the original JP where everything clicked and worked brilliantly, and affected the future of cinema from a technical standpoint on top of it.

More than the CGI and cinematography, what I remember most about watching the Matrix for the first time was seeing big name movie stars actually fighting in a believable way. It's the first movie I can think of where the stars actually had to take martial arts training, the first fight between Keanu and Fishburne blew me away when I realized it was actually them and not stunt doubles
