My point is that his NTC doesn’t affect his market value much because if it came to it, I believe he’d accept a trade to a contender given his pending UFA status. This is not Iginla at the end of his career. But as I said, it’s likely moot. I don’t see the team trading him at this point.
I don’t get the relevance about what “people think”. But my frustration also lies in the fact that we got to this point and where the FMV of some of these players is lower than before. Season 8 of the current regime. I just can’t buy a laundry list of excuses as to why it was inevitable or unlucky we ended up here.
Anyway rant over. You and TOFan have the conviction to keep banging the drum supporting how we got here and I hope this season proves out that his patience was the right decision all along.
