I'm in the opposite life situation as you actually. I am in the process of moving my ex out. I hope that you do not encounter a similar situation as I am currently in, and I sincerely apologize if this brings down the aura in this thread.

Honestly, I suggest to use the oh so difficult word "sorry" and mean it, try to understand your partner, and excercise patience. Spend time together on common likes, and show appreciation as your significant other treats you with respect and kindness.

On the other side, be aware if your needs are not met despite trying your best to come to common ground, and don't hesitate to see a couples counsellor if things get dicey and communication fails and frustration arises. Disagreements are healthy, just work to respect your partner's opinion.
