IIRC, I don't think season ticket holders have had an off season update. Like it or not, there is a consumer confidence issue with this management group. Yeah, imagine it gets tiring hearing all the complaining but to your credit, you've given an outlet for fans to express our collective frustration. All is not well with the Flames and hasn't been for some time. This is the first season where we weren't pushed up against the cap and there was finally some acknowledgement that change was required. And we get Gio out and Coleman in.
If something substantial gets done between now and puck drop, great. He's delivered the change required. If nothing else apart from some fringe depth moves/PTOs, all he's done is put lipstick on the pig.

I have no problem with your summary, and the frustration with the lack of change.
I just don't get the leap into doubting he's trying.
A GM can't just commit to change and then just go through with it regardless of the value he's finding on the players he's trying to move. That would be a disaster.
Nothing about Treliving suggests he's just learning how to barefoot waterski this summer.
Would you honestly prefer change for the sake of change with pennies on the dollar in returns?
