Statistically speaking, Brady has been nowhere near as good as Matt was prior to signing the 2nd contract. If he's looking for a comparable amount I think that's where the impasse is.

His teams have been crap but I can see why Ottawa is not eager to give him 6-7 with a huge signing bonus. I am not sure if he's worth Monahan + 2 assets.
