I have no idea the exact offers that teams have made for Eichel, but I think it's safe to assume that multiple teams made significant offers already and Buffalo refused them all at this point.

I don't see teams wanting to go higher at this point as Eichel is almost certainly going to miss a portion of the regular season and may not be 100% at all next season depending on which medical opinions you want to side with.

Buffalo put themselves in a position now where they either back track on the offers they already received and see if they are still on the table, or accept less than they were already offered, which IMO, would put management on the hot seat for making such an error.

The other option of course is riding it out until December or so, when teams have a better idea of where they stand and new offers looking towards 2022-2023 start coming in, which might reset the bar for Buffalo.

If I was a betting person, I would think Buffalo is going to hold tight and try to reset the value in a few months. Just a guess.
