As others have mentioned, Monahan can’t be part of the package and would have to be traded separately. All of you who want Treliving fired for not making this trade yet, would you really be happy trading Zary, Pelletier, Lindholm, Mangiapane (the latter two in lieu of the 4th first and to make the cap work) and a likely lottery 1st for a player who would only be available for half the season, if he even ever played again? Because that is likely the only package Treliving could have offered that Buffalo would have accepted.
