If acquiring Eichel a month ago would have cost Monahan + 1st round pick + Zary + Dube… but acquiring him this week for say Monahan + 1st round pick + Pelletier, would people still have that same sentiment? Obviously it’s all complete speculation as to costs but if the cost has come down and Treliving ended up pulling off the trade while giving up less, it will have been worth it I think.
