Whynot certainly has different physical tools. Better? Not sure. I think Kerins' game is complemented by his 5'10" frame. He's elusive and has a low centre of gravity.
Anyway, very few OHL forwards score at a point-per-game rate in their draft year so I'm not sure why that'd be the expectation for Kerins. Here's the full list of OHL players the same age who scored more goals at even strength in 2019-20:
Jack Quinn
Marco Rossi
Cole Perfetti
Quinton Byfield scored 24 goals at 5v5 compared to Kerins' 26 but played 19 fewer games. Fellow first-rounder Jacob Perreault also scored 24 and played seven fewer games than Kerins' 64. Tyson Foerster scored 17 in 62.
Whynot is impressive but in my opinion this is Kerins without thinking twice. He'd comfortably be in my top-20, somewhere in the 15-19 range.
