Agreed. The Flames have made some good moves, but not the ones I had hoped they would. I was expecting one or two significant moves to the core, outside of Gio and the expansion draft.
That said, I’m also aware we have no idea what discussions have occurred between the Flames and other clubs. Take a look around the league. Would people have been more satisfied if Treliving outbid Philadelphia for Ristolainen? How about Riehart? The same guys who are ripping Treliving for ‘doing nothing’ are the same ones who would be ripping him for trading another 1st round pick. I understand the need to have an outlet to air your frustrations, but it is tiring reading the same posters complian at every turn. Tell a therapist, not Calgary Puck.
Also worth noting that the biggest fish in the pond, Eichel, hasn’t been moved. The Flames have been consistently connected to him. So, until the offseason is officially over, I’m not passing judgment.
