We're already messing up this planet with environmental damage, climate change, nuclear weapons, late-stage capitalism, colonialization, continued genocide, and extreme inequality around the globe. Unless the UFO's decide to land and share their tech or God decides to stop being an introverted ass clown and show up and save us, we're definitely not helping ourselves without a smarter intelligent intervention.
