It’s not feasible for forums. Social media platforms have thousands of engineers working on tools to at scale deal with misinformation. And even they are terrible at it. Forums are 1990s tech with a new coat of paint. Without empowering the community to all be mods through a reddit style upvote downvote system that hides posts that are downvoted enough, it’s not practical for a small mod team to proactively fight that fight. And that downvote system has a lot of problems too when it comes to popularity contest style vote brigading. (This is not that, but it’s a real problem with vote system moderation).
Bingo and co do a great job, but it’s not realistic to ask them to be responsible for combating anti vaxxer propaganda. No one here is going to be swayed by it and the reach of these posts is a few hundred relatively saavy internet users at most. Best is to just let the man shout into the void and ignore him.
