Yeah, I constantly hear that you can't trust the news, it's all biased, where do you look for truth?

Well, first off all, they are probably thinking of social media, pundits, and the 24 hour news cycle. Those tell you how to feel about facts or the events of the day.

If you want news, just straight news, watch the morning, noon, or evening news on CTV, Global, CityTV, whatever. All they have time to do is report what's going on. It's as unbiased reporting as you get. And you can always check out feeds from the Associated and Canadian Press.

It's not that difficult to consume news and stay informed without muddying your perspective. Maybe I'm just more media literate than the average person, but it always surprises me when people bemoan this topic.
