It's not too long until they need to start playing the extortion game with a few cities like Anaheim, San Jose, Ottawa...it wouldn''t hurt to have a more recent example to point to.

If you add a $200 million relo fee to a purchase price I’d assume you’re pushing $500 or $600 million again. Or straight relo then you’re back to needing an arena to move into.
I do hear you on the extortion front but IMO we are seeing these cities have cards of their own to play. I think the league would like to preserve the scarcity aspect of franchise value which helped them hit those insane expansion fees.
