I believe they were always going to sign those players, but I think if I'm going by Friedman's 31 in 31 thoughts approach where he was saying Lamorillo thinks he signed his guys but he's keeping the contracts in his drawer for now, could be the approach that Treliving could be taking. In other words, keep the cards close to his chest to how much cap space he has until a deal is complete. It's not the most out there thing.
