Not even close really. Swapping out marginal, healthy scratch-caliber guys for legitimately good NHL players is a significant upgrade on forward, IMO.

Only if it helps the team. And you are completely missing my point in that regard. Which is Hyman-McDavid-Draisaitl will score the same and defend the same as Kassian-McDavid-Draisaitl. Hyman is obviously a better player than Kassian but so what? There’s only one puck among the three players.
Ryan is better than what they had in the bottom six before. But he’s not replacing Neal, Khaira or Chiasson. Because they were wingers. He’s replacing Kahn, and the margin isn’t as great there. And if the top centres are McDavid and RNH, they are going to end up with Ryan as a 3C, and that’s too much ice for him IMO. Foegele is an upgrade on Chiasson, I suppose, but it’s marginal according to their counting stats (heck, even compared to Neal’s).
