This thread is a near constant reminder that we're well and truly boned as a species. I hate to be pessimistic but if we can't group together sufficiently against covid, we stand no chance at all against something more ethereal but threatening like climate change. If an alien race showed up to enslave us the chances are high the proportion of the population that would immediately flip to support them over humanity would be above 25% .
