Ray doesn't have bear that kind of track record, and is less than 1 season removed from putting up a near 7 ERA.
We'll see what the market gives him, he has looked fantastic this year for sure, but it's a pretty small sample size for a guy who was pretty much a DFA candidate 1 year ago.

Ray has ace/1B type stuff. Happ is a solid pitcher but Ray can be absolutely electric. A WHIP around 1 is spectacular.
Of course, I really hope you are right and he stays well within the Jays budget for next year.
