With a QO of $3.2 and arbitration looming this was always going to be in the $4M range.

Honestly for those that want action I think this is a really good sign. I don't see this as Zadorov doesn't want to be here (I think his enthusiasm around the trade day was pretty clear).

It's Calgary wanting to keep their cap down to fit something else in. That extra say $750K could mean the difference in having to shed a salary or not in a few weeks.
