It is all about proving the damage. If your roofer replaces the roof and charges for drip edge, and it wasn't in the estimate, you have to prove to the insurance it was there before the storm. So before your roofer starts, compare estimates. You can go back to insurance, but most likely before repairs so they can see the error. You have two years, including supplements.
